Has the statute of limitations been lifted on using the phrase “Vegas Baby!” again?
The Movie, “Swingers,” came out over 20 years ago and besides being instrumental in launching Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s careers, it also launched such phrases as “Vegas Baby! and “You’re so money!” For while there, using the phrases “Vegas Baby” or “You’re so money!” was well…. let’s just say, a bit passé. But like many things, what’s old becomes new again or at the least, “acceptable” again. Frankly, I’m patiently waiting for the day when is ok to bring back “Whhha-suuuuuuhhhuuuuuuuuu(p)!! ” from the Bud commercial. Ok, maybe some things should be left to die in obscurity. But one can dream.
That being said, VEGAS BABY!
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is back in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 pm at the Railhead at Boulder Station. They have a beautiful concert venue and we’re looking forward to playing some of the tunes from our latest, “Louie, Louie, Louie” record. Especially the Louis Prima tunes. Nothing says Vegas like Louis Prima, The “King of the Las Vegas Lounge.”
If you’re “money” you’ll be there….
